Wildlife Tasmania Tour, Australia

National Parks and Wildlife Tasmania Tour

A 2-day Wildlife Tasmania Tour, Australia which is moderately paced available on request will allow you to explore the nocturnal wildlife experience which showcases the behaviour of Tasmania’s nocturnal marsupials.

In this Wildlife Tasmania Tour, As much of Tasmania’s wildlife are night feeders, it is essential to view these species after dark to get a good understanding of their way of life. In robust four-wheel-drive vehicles, we set out to discover what secrets the towering forests and farmlands reveal. We have great satisfaction in creating two authentic Australian wildlife experiences. We have established two tours based at remote cabins on private lands in north-east Tasmania.

The Canopy Capers tour kicks off with trying your luck with hunting for the elusive platypus. Then we travel to nearby cabin set amongst the Tasmanian bush for a campfire dinner. Relax to the afternoon sounds of the bush chorus from the forest birds; enjoy a campfire dinner before the sun sets when you take a guided walk into the forest to see the clingers and climbers of the Tassie bush. Feel the after dark enchantment as the sun goes down, hear the chuckling of kookaburras, and take an enchanted walk under the stars for an understanding and appreciation of wildlife movements in the Tasmanian bush. Experience the excitement and magic as nocturnal creatures appear from the bushes and trees during this Wildlife Tasmania Tour.

On this Wildlife Tasmania Tour, Day two delivers a day travelling the backroads of north-east Tasmania to Ben Lomond National Park. A stunning geological mountain with a landscape of Jurassic dolerite, striking alpine vegetation and spectacular views. We travel via the Roses Tier forests to our other wildlife viewing facility in the Tyne Valley.

Our Quoll Patrol wildlife viewing venue throws up some wonderful surprises. This disused farmland has been transformed into a private wildlife reserve. Woodland birds and raptors can be seen around the fields and surrounding forests. Enjoy a campfire dinner with a friendly mob of forester kangaroos. Some of them are comfortable with human interaction. As the sun sets you can enjoy the ambience of the campfire as local wildlife stop by or graze close by in this Wildlife Tasmania Tour.

In this Wildlife Tasmania Tour, your accommodation on your stay in north-east Tasmania is Beulah Heritage Accommodation in Scottsdale. This boutique bed and breakfast has two queen and one twin king single ensuited rooms. The room configurations allow us to accommodate up to six passengers on tour and utilising two 4WD vehicles and guides.

This Wildlife Tasmania Tour can be a short-break fully guided tour away from a longer self-drive tour of Tasmania. Or maybe a quick visit from mainland Australia to fly-in and fly-out for the experience. We are happy to provide or organise pre and post tour transfers from and to the Launceston Airport or Launceston city.
