Tasmania Wild Tour, Australia - 2 Days

Tasmania Wild Tour, Australia

Unique Tasmanian Wilderness Tour

These 2-days Tasmania Wild Tour, Australia which is moderately paced available on request will allow you to explore the northeast Tasmanian highlands.  We visit alpine craggy mountain peaks and the region's beautiful rainforests and native forests. This tour also includes one of Australia’s best wildlife experiences. We meet some of Tasmania’s nocturnal bush characters complete with the ambiance of campfire dining on our nocturnal wildlife tour.

Our Quoll Tasmania Wild Tour is set in the middle of open farmland which has been transformed into a private wildlife reserve. A place of tranquillity and relaxation as you sit by the campfire with the forester kangaroos very content with your company.

As darkness falls, the campfire area is a place where wildlife politics can take a feisty turn. Tasmanian pademelons and brushtail possums display some intriguing personalities and can be very entertaining. Then we also have the eastern quolls, wombats, and wallabies that graze close by during this Tasmania Wild Tour.

In this Tasmania Wild Tour, the northeast Tasmanian forests are full of ferns, streams, waterfalls, and towering myrtles. We go off the beaten track to see some of the spectacular and extraordinary north-eastern Tasmanian unique geology, forests, and landscapes.  We visit the Mt Victoria Forest Reserve and St Columba Falls State Forest Reserves, Pyengana Cheese Factory, the Weldborough Pass Forest Reserve, and Mt Paris Dam.

The region's waterfalls, include Ralphs Falls, a single drop waterfall, one of Tasmania’s highest. St Columba Falls at Pyengana is a tiered waterfall cascading over giant boulders. Each forest reserve offers a selection of short forest walks. You can walk amongst forests of tree ferns, mosses, lichens, sassafras, myrtles, and towering eucalypts during this Tasmania Wild Tour.

On this Tasmania Wild Tour, as we travel the regions backroads we are always on the lookout for awesome roadside discoveries. The Tasmanian monotreme double, platypus, and short-beaked echidna are always exciting finds. Reptiles can be found on the warmer sunny days and there is always plenty of birdlife.

Your accommodation on your stay in north-east Tasmania is Beulah Heritage Accommodation in Scottsdale. This boutique bed and breakfast has two queens and one twin king single ensuite room. The room configurations allow us to accommodate up to six passengers on tour and utilising two 4WD vehicles and guides in this Tasmania Wild Tour.

This Tasmania Wild Tour can be a short-break fully guided tour away from a longer self-drive tour of Tasmania. Or maybe a quick visit from mainland Australia to fly in and fly out for the experience. We are happy to provide or organise pre and post-tour transfers from and to the Launceston Airport or Launceston city.
