Join us in this 5 days Chile birding tour exploring the southern landscapes and ecosystems of Chile. South Patagonia is the last frontier of the American continent, a land that meets the conditions for an unforgettable trip discovering the wildlife that inhabits these remote and pristine areas, surrounded by impressive geography.
The area of Punta Arenas in front of the Strait of Magellan, Tierra del Fuego and Torres del Paine National Park -a Biosphere Reserve- is part of the highlights of a trip through this land of wind, wilderness and stunning landscapes, with many mountains, glaciers, crags, rivers, lakes and the immensity of the Patagonian steppe and the Pacific Ocean. During a complete and comprehensive journey, we will have the chance to spot from sea birds as the Black-browed Albatross and the Antarctic Giant Petrel, to endangered waterfowl as the Ruddy-headed Goose, from specialities as the Magellanic Plover hidden in the alkaline lagoons to the forest birds as the Magellanic Woodpecker, Chilean Hawk and flocks of Austral Parakeet.
The steppe is also home of great specialities as the Chocolate-vented Tyrant, Austral Canastero and the skulking and elusive Patagonian Tinamou. During our Chilie birding exploration of Tierra del Fuego, we will also go for the King Penguin that returns to breed in Useless bay probably after thousands of years of absence transforming this special site in a unique spot to enjoy the view of these marvellous penguins.
Our expert guides will lead you along the Patagonian roads discovering the birds and biodiversity of one of the most beautiful destinations in the world.
