Half-Day Birding Trip in Extremadura
Private half-day Extremadura Birdwatching trip at any time of the year (subject to availability) to help those who are doing their own thing get the best of their birdwatching holidays in Extremadura.
Birdwatching Extremadura is quite simply one of the best birding destinations in Europe and is especially rewarding anytime from late autumn to early summer. High summer has its own attractions for those particularly interested in butterflies and dragonflies.
There is plenty of space for nature, thanks to its low human population density and largely traditional farming. There is a surprising diversity of landscapes to be explored, each with its own distinct bird communities. Extremadura is renowned for the birds of prey, with no fewer than 23 breeding species, including the highest densities in the world of Black Vulture
Let Martin Kelsey take you out at the start of your visit to help you get a feel of the place, or perhaps towards the end to look for species that you may have missed. Whilst finding birds for yourself is always special, why not complement your trip with a few hours with an expert guide?
Local guides know the birds in the area better than anyone, where they can be found, how they behave, how to get the best views, and the best chances of photography. Just relax and let the local guide do the work for you
The quoted price is for two people and includes a half-day (morning or afternoon) guided birding trip in the heart of Extremadura. Please contact us for the price for a single person or for groups of three or four people. We do not mix people up and bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis. Simply let us know what species you what to focus on and we can develop a proposal for the day to meet your requirements!
