Bird Watching Trips in Lima and Beyond
We offer full and half-day bird watching trips and birding photography tours from all of Peru’s hub cities. These include Lima, Arequipa, Puno, Cusco and Machu Picchu and tours operate throughout the year with group sizes of up to 12 birders. Our short trips are perfect if you are passing through and have some spare time. They are a fantastic opportunity to see local birds and wildlife.
Birding and Bird Photography trips from Lima include coastal lagoons, deserts and rocky shores with species such as Inca Tern, Peruvian Thick-knee and many coloured Rush-Tyrant. Other trips include venturing up the Andes to Santa Eulalia Canyon and the Ticlio pass. There are opportunities to see the enigmatic Diademed Sandpiper Plover.
Birding trips from Cusco offer condor watching experiences in the Apurimac valley. You can see three species of flamingo in the salt lakes and enjoy a two day trip to Colca Canyon, Abra Malaga and Machu Picchu.
