Ebro Delta Bird Photography Tour in Spain

Ebro Delta Birdwatching & Photography Tour

This 2-day Ebro Delta Bird Photography Tour in Spain is a leisurely-paced trip available on request where you can expect to photograph over 80 species of bird and other wildlife species from the region.

When we talk about the Ebro Delta we mean one of the most important wetlands in Southern Europe. Together with Doñana, the Ebro Delta is not only one of the vastest wetlands but also an essential habitat for both, all year residents and migratory birds. Here a large number of water birds find the proper breeding habitat, food and resting areas in their migration.

A huge area in Ebro Delta has been transformed into rice fields, which are also a good place for birds like Glossy Ibis, Purple Heron or Purple Swamphen, between other. Also, the channels net is an interesting habitat for Great Crested Grebe, Little Bittern or Squacco Heron. There are also some freshwater lagoons with a good number of Common Tern, Little Tern, Black-headed Gull and some passerine like Reed Bunting, Moustached Warbler or Great Reed-Warbler. Then, closer to the seashore there are saltwater ponds with Flamingo, Avocet, Kentish Plover, Collared Pratincole and Audouin Gull, among others.

PHOTO LOGISTICS staff includes an Ebro Delta born and grown photographer who leads photo safaris by combining the most convenient technique in every moment: canvas hides for waterfowl, mimetic net laying on the sand for waders or just staying in the right place at the right time for having the best photo opportunities. Trusting our experience is the key for a great photo safari in Ebro Delta. Of course, we will fit our guidance to your targets.

At the end of the photo safari or separately you can also combine with our Olive Tree field hide. A hide in the ancient Olive Tree fields provided with a drinking pool and a feeding station where you can get the best in passerine photography with Cirl Bunting, Crested Tit, Fire crest, Song Thrush, Orphean Warbler, Sardinian Warbler and some other birds across the year.
