Iberian Lynx
The Iberian Lynx is the most threatened feline on the planet. Living Doñana boasts the highest percentage of sightings during their tours. Only 84 of these spectacular endangered species roam free in the area of Doñana and 360 in Sierra Morena, Extremadura, Montes de Toledo and Portugal
Spanish Imperial Eagle
Imperial Eagle is considered the most endangered raptor in Europe. Its total population does not exceed 450 and in Doñana 10 pairs still survive. We are good connoisseurs of the species and we know how and where to observe them.
Short-toed Eagle
Short toed Eagle is one of the great raptors that arrives from Africa to spend the spring and summer with us. Good reptile hunters, they are always vigilant to capture some prey in the marsh of Doñana.
Great Bittern
Probably the most elusive heron, it can be found hiding in Doñana, nesting and feeding in the sheltered areas in the fragmites.
Purple Swamphen
Threatened for years they still survive in the old channels that feed the marshes of Doñana. Colourful and amazing, they will surprise you how they use their long fingers to find food.
Black-shouldered Kite
Seriously harmed by pesticides used in agriculture, they still survive in the south-west of the Iberian Peninsula, with Doñana being one of their last refuges. Surprising how they adapt to the provision of food, especially of vole, reaching to reproduce in winter as their populations are very high.
Great-spotted Cuckoo
Opportunists and scandalous, they arrive at the beginning of February beginning their courtship a few days later. They love to parasitize Common Magpie and Jackdaw.
Glossy Ibis
Only 20 years ago there was a population of no more than 60 individuals, but have adapted and learned how to eat the American red crab, the population now exceeds 14,000.
Eurasian Crane
Doñana sees the arrival of approximately 3000 individuals every winter. Since the 1980s cranes have not bred in Doñana, but last year a couple raised in captivity were released into the wild and produced offspring.
Black Stork
Their populations do not exceed 340 individuals in Spain, but many of them arrive in Doñana in winter where they find food due to the favorable temperatures.

5% of the profits on each visit raised by Living Doñana is provided to finance environmental conservation projects throughout the region.

Sergio is a very talented tour guide and his knowledge of the Iberian Lynx and its habitat is by far the best I have witnessed, having previously done 5 Lynx tours with other professional operators. He did provide us with 2 excellent sightings on the day and it is evident this is his backyard. His primary concern is the welfare of the animal so all in all a very professional company which I highly recommend.

Our guide Sergio showed himself to be a very knowledgeable lynx expert, who was able to indicate some very good spots for lynx watching—even on a very busy public holiday. Going on a tour with him is a great way to (try and) spot the majestic Iberian Lynx.

A fantastic day, filled with wonderful sights of birds and a sighting of the elusive lynx right at the end of the tour. We were treated to a highly knowledgeable tour and would never have seen as much as we saw without going on this tour. Sergio provided us with an unforgettable experience and it made our holiday. I cannot recommend it highly enough. A wonderful day. Thank you.
