Wildlife Photography Workshops

Yorkshire Coast Nature is a nature tourism company dedicated to unique wildlife encounters in Yorkshire and beyond! Local professional guides lead the safaris and photography workshops. Their aim is to bring you the very best nature holidays in England from whale watching, getting up close and personal with 200,000 seabirds ,rare birds of prey, butterflies, reptiles and flowers.

Wildlife photography workshops are led by award winning photographer Steve Race. Steve  will deliver 1 to 1 and group workshops tailored towards beginners, enthusiasts and photographers who want to learn more about the different aspects of wildlife photography. From the 400ft white chalk cliffs at Bempton and Flamborough Headland to the wild habitat of the North York Moors National Park the Yorkshire Coast is rich in wildlife. Key species they will focus on are seabirds including Puffins, diving Gannets, Fulmars, Razorbills, Guillemots and Kittiwakes to Moorland birds such as Red Grouse, Golden Plover, Curlew, Whinchat and Ring Ouzel. We also delivery workshops for Grey Seal, Red Deer and Adders.

Wildlife Tours UK

Wildlife tours are led by ecologist Richard Baines. Small group tours are aimed at providing a memorable and fun learning experience within a beautiful setting. Learn how to recognise bird song on a Forest Safari and search for Reptiles, Orchids, Goshawk and Honey Buzzard. Join them on a scarce and rare Birding Discovery Day with local birders at Scarborough, Filey, Flamborough and Spurn, with Wild Flower days in partnership with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and Nightjar Safaris are just a few examples of what’s on offer in 2016!

Yorkshire Coast Nature also offer be-spoke wildlife tours for small groups or larger groups. Choose your own itinerary and dates, they will even help with local accommodation and collect you from your hotel! Recent groups have included a Gull identification day for a group of four friends to a birding tour for a U3A group from Cambridge.

Everyone is welcome on their trips, from beginners to the more experienced. If you belong to a group or society why not book them for a lecture/talk and get a flavour of wild Yorkshire on your doorstep!
