The ecosystem in Peru is vital to the prodigious birds located in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve with more than 449 bird species sighted, being linked to populations of aquatic environments of greater prominence, highlighting the Great egret, Cocoi heron, Rufescent tiger heron and Double-crested cormorant to name just a few species.

The tropical forests, waterways and flood areas of the reserve create a real random kingdom, of chance and wonder, where there’s always a reason to stay astonished.

Luxury River Cruises

Enjoy the latest in luxury boutique river cruising with Zafiro Cruise Ship,   known as one of the finest five star hotels on the Amazon River, and conceived as one of the world’s most unique luxury river cruises in the rainforest.  The Zafiro creates a restful atmosphere by the use of muted tones, allowing the eye to be drawn to the kaleidoscope of movement from the banks of the Amazon River.  The design of the vessel is 50 meters (163 feet) long, it has 14 large guest suites including 2 Master Suites with 90° panoramic windows and one Zafiro Suite with 180° panoramic window.

The Amatista Cruise Ship was designed exclusively for cruising on the Amazon River, the vessel was built with traditional riverboat lines and yet still boasts such comforts and facilities as air-conditioned cabins, en-suite bathrooms, a covered dining room with bar and a sundeck with 360 degree panoramic view.  Experience an unforgettable Amazon expedition of birdwatching, trekking, photo safaris, dolphins and other wildlife spotting in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve and much, much more.

Amazon Rainforest Tours

A wildlife rainforest tour with Jungle Experiences may also mean experience other Peru wildlife species like the White-bellied spider monkey, Brown woolly monkey, South American tapir, Collared peccary, Red brocket, Arrau turtle,  Yellow-spotted river turtle, Black caiman and Spectacled caiman. Many of these animals are vulnerable or endangered. Pacaya Samiria is their last refuge.  An emblematic case is that of Arapaima, which was about to disappear from the lagoon El Dorado. Coveted for its meat, the fish that can grow up to three meters was removed indiscriminately. This situation reversed thanks to a successful project launched by the villagers themselves.

River tours with Jungle Experiences include villages visits, experiential tourism, boat excursions, hanging bridges, nature walks, Health ceremony with a Jibaro tribe Shaman, swimming in dark waters, piranha fishing, day & night excursions

Jungle Experiences - Conservation - Blue Sky Wildlife

For Jungle Experiences ecotourism plays a vital role in their pursuit of sustainability, in their commitment to sustainable management and responsible tourism.  They are working hard to support local communities and once a week they visit those communities carrying groceries, supplies, clothes and shoes.

As part of their work the naturalist guides make a speech about environmental conservation to children, such activity is performed in order to raise awareness and educate the local communities about the importance of protecting and preserving the environment and the natural resources.

As part of their job, Jungle Experiences work with an artisan women in San Francisco; this is a local community along the Rio Ucayali. The work of art of these talented women is displayed within their cruise ships as part of its decor. As part of our social assistance programme, they also exhibit their crafts in the shop on board where they encourage tourists to buy these pieces of art in order to contribute to the local community; all incomes will help Jungle Experiences to support the schools with supplies throughout the year.

Another important contribution is to support the Association for the Conservation of Amazonian Biodiversity (ACOBIA), where Jungle Experience work to support the preservation of the local resources and environment. They contribute with a donation for the execution of its activities and likewise aim for the community to have direct contact with nature, value the natural resources and the rich biodiversity provided to them by Mother Nature.
