Brisbane Wildlife Tours and Beyond

Create-A-Tour specialise in bushwalking, wildlife and birdwatching day trips with an experienced local guide to the beautiful areas of Brisbane, the Sunshine and Gold Coasts, Hinterlands and the Scenic Rim.  The Ecotourism Australia Certified tours are day trips only and designed for up to four adults (and 2 children). Access is available to most National Parks in the region.

Each ecotour is designed specifically for the individual or group and offers a comprehensive range of diverse experiences – from exploring the natural environment with its unique flora and fauna to focusing on specific customer interests.

Visit local birding hotspots and see Bowerbirds, Fairy Wrens, Finches, Cockatoos, Waterbirds, Honeyeaters, Frogmouths, Kingfishers, and many more. Species of animals commonly seen on tours include Kangaroos, wallabies, reptiles, spiders, butterflies, and occasionally koalas. The flora of the region includes over 2000 species including the rare and threatened 3-4000 year old stands of Antarctic Beech, only seen in the Gondwana remnants of sub-tropical rainforest in the Lamington and Springbrook National Parks.

Full day trips include various habitats including sub-tropical rainforest, Eucalypt forest, mangroves, freshwater wetlands, coastal heath, beaches and urban landscapes.

Create-A-Tour offers unique private tours that allow guests to get up close with animals in the wild at a relaxed pace and in a comfortable easy access vehicle. Wildlife tours can be combined with other local experiences such as hiking, gardens, sightseeing, tourist attractions, local wineries and gourmet foods, local markets, and stunning beaches.

As part of the commitment to sustainable tourism, tours include opportunities to be involved in Citizen Science and local conservation projects such as Koala Tracker and bird surveys. Ongoing surveys within the local area aim to increase awareness for habitat preservation and wildlife conservation. Data collected is forwarded to local councils and conservation groups within the region. $10 from every wildlife tour is donated to local groups working on wildlife conservation.
