BirdsChile offer to take you on a birding adventure through the narrow and “skinny” country of Chile.

The team of nature lovers are extensively involved in conservation, education and are passionate for traveling. All the guides are naturalist with years of experience leading groups of nature enthusiasts through the most interesting regions of the south of South America, with special care to Chile and its diverse geography.

Since 2009, the experiences offered include a wide range of birding and nature trips, hikes and photography tours with a wildlife and naturalist orientation.  All the programs follow the mission of their “Conservation through Tourism Project (CTT)” that supports local communities and entrepreneurs investing part of their revenues believing that collectively they can transform tourism in the most efficient way to encourage wildlife conservation and habitat preservation.

These actions gave the BirdsChile the opportunity to be awarded by the Chilean President Michelle Bachelet as the Most Sustainable Travel Company of Chile in 2016.

Since 2009 our company is focus in offering the most sustainable experiences with a full commitment to conservation and development of local communities through the art of travelling.  All of the staff are fluent in English, with some of the guides also able to speak Italian, Portuguese and German.

BirdsChile is a licensed company registered at the Chilean Bureau of Tourism with reg Nr. 6429, member of the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), Turismo Chile and Global Sustainable Travel Council. The company is also part of the program of Quality and Sustainable Certification develop by the Chilean Bureau of Tourism.

BirdsChile Conservation

BirdsChile works very closely with private and public organisations in order to promote the nature tourism as a mechanism of conservation in Chile. The company runs training for local communities and entrepreneurs and works in the restoration and conservation of wetlands in the areas around Lake Llanquihue.

BirdsChile also organizes free courses to promote the knowledge of the native species, school contests about biodiversity and they promote best practices for the local communities for example the ban of using plastic bags in the commerce of its head quarter town, Puerto Varas.
